After 20 years of farming, we finally decided to take the plunge and purchase a mini-excavator, and we then spent several months researching the market.


The Kobelco 1.7t seemed to be the best choice for the Gisborne Farm. Already, we have been able to dig out and resurrect all the old irrigation infrastructure, so coupled with our new bore pump and reservoir pumping system, we again have irrigated water across most of the farm.


We have also been able to dig nice trenches for the olives and hazels, as well as the requisite wind break trees.
